In adherence to the recruitment policies followed, for recrutiement of 'Overseas Nurses' from Non-English speaking countries, we have prepared an exhaustive, informative and a practical bridging program called 'Australian Bridging and Placement Program (ABP)' which involves taking up classes for studying Englsih from the aspect of meeting the Nursing Baord requriements.

About the Program:

"ABP" also known as the "Australian Bridging and Placement" program trains the Overseas Nurses to adapt to the Australian nursing culture. The duration of this Program will be about 3 to 6 months depending on the course provider.

Qualified nurses from non-English speaking countries are not eligible to register in Australai directly. According to the Nursing Regulations of Australia, they must have excellent written English and Speaking skills to work in Australia. For this, the Nursing Boards only accept and consider valid IELTS or OET scores and these scores requirements are mandatory to get registrations with the Nursing Boards in Australia.

An Overseas Nurse with the relevant qualification and a minimum of 5.5 IELTS score can enrol in to this Program. For Applicants who mee the English Language requirements, that is, who have the minimum eligible scores of IELTS and OET, can directly apply for the Nurses Board of Victoria. Whereas, Applicants who do not meet the English Language requirements, that is, who do not have the minimum eligible scores of IELTS and OET, will apply for two Nursing Boards (Victoria and Tasmania Nursing Boards) to increase their chances and fasten the process of getting the Decision Letter as the Tasmania Nursing Board takes only upto 6 weeks for issuiijng the Decision Letter.

After receiving the Decision Letter from Tasmania Nursing Board, we will forward all the documentation for OET preparation classes to apply for the VISA.

After approval of VISA, there will be 16 weeks of OET preparation classes and the Applicant will attend the OET exam. Meanwhile, the Applicant receives the Decision letter from Victoria Nursing Board.

With the OET Score Sheet and the Decision Letter of Victoria Nursing Board we get the offer and acceptance letter for bridging program. Once the student finishes her bridging program and assignments with the course provider they receive the Registration License from the Nursing Board.

After receiving the Registration License we will place them in a Hospital or Nursing Home depending on their expereince and area of expertise.

With this program, an Overseas Nurse with or without expereince can get the registration and placement and can get expereince in Australia in a short span of time.

In order to work as a nurse in Ireland, an overseas-trained nurse needs to:
