| Answer: Students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) are eligible to join as Deck Cadets.
Besides some private establishments, the three main establishments for training of Ratings are T S Bhadra, Kolkata, T S Mekhla, Vishakhapatnam, and T S Navalakshi, Gujarat. The training lasts for three months and 640 cadets are trained annually at these three institutes for the deck department and engine room. On completion of training, you will be engaged as Seaman-III.
