Subject: Law as a career
Date: 8-Aug-2008
Question: i have done my B.com (Hons.) from Delhi university with good first division, i have also completed my PG diploma in Cyber laws, now i m doing PG diploma in Securities and banking law along with LLB, can u pls suggest me how to utilise these courses, and what are the future prospects.
Answer: Those interested in career law in cyber laws can work independently as consultants or in legal consulting and arbitration firms for providing assistance to the advocates on cases related to cyber crimes. They can also work with the large companies, which are having heavy stakes on the Net, to keep a watch on any possible infringement and to advise on action to be taken. If they are law graduates, cyber law professionals have an added advantage and can command a higher price for their services.

You can get career opportunity in IT firms, with intelligence department, web developers, banks etc.Another avenue which is gaining momentum these is LPO ie Legal Process Outsourcing, and there you can find a whole new range of job opportunities for yourself.

All the best
